“When we came to earth, we brought with us that great gift from God—even our agency. In thousands of ways we are privileged to choose for ourselves. Here we learn from the hard taskmaster of experience. We discern between good and evil. We differentiate as to the bitter and the sweet. We learn that decisions determine destiny.” ~President Thomas S. Monson, Ponder the Path of Thy Feet, Ensign, Nov 2014 p.86

Decisions determine destiny. Putting off choices that favor God, are choices against Him. And, they’re really choices against oneself. I have noticed that the self-centered choices often seem, in the moment, easier, more inviting. They lead us to embrace selfishness far from the influence of our Savior. He is the key to the way back. We carefully re-claim submission and discipline through repentance and under His guidance, He makes of us much more than we can alone. Much better to start now with the path friendly to His purposes and filled with the inner peace only He can give! k
