As with a fine craftsman, the more we make a habit of embracing correct tools to change, shape and refine our otherwise rough, undisciplined, souls (in the sight of our God), the sweeter the gift of ourselves to him. Those tools (of prayer, scripture study, participating in those true meetings in His name, keeping covenants and more…) carefully used as with the regularity and precision of a skilled craftsman, yield deeper commitment to Christ. Greater peace, purpose and direction then come because we appreciate His Atonement. He, the Master Carpenter, has already bought and paid for our souls, and is patiently crafting us. We are His apprentices for our own souls and those who we might patiently (as He is patient with us) influence towards Him. kdm 6.5.17, 2.1.15
