This blogsite is all about insights, clarity of the Lord’s direction, purposes for me and others as correct principles and teachings from the Master are learned and followed. I am so grateful for the many sources the church I belong to has that provide insightful thoughts for pure Christian living. These are truly endless and come from the Lord, Jesus Christ. More important that same church community teaches how important it is for me to have and seek (become ready for) personal insights from the Master. Such are ‘tailored’ to me and my own circumstances. With the last post, ‘abiding confidence’, I related an insight that has now opened a ‘well’ of them going back many years. Over time I will review those journal entries on this blog site to see how I am doing.
From a May 2, 2010 journal entry, when our son-in-law, Mike, was a member in a Bishopric of the ward we then lived in; In setting the tone (sharing his own testimony) for a Fast and Testimony meeting, he conducted he related the following, a conversation he overheard which has relevance to many, including me. Elder C. (a General Authority) of the Presidency of the Seventy, in a busy hallway was in conversation with an investigator who was not ‘getting it’. He asked the man, (we’ll call ‘Jim’) if he’d read the Book of Mormon. Jim said, “I’ve read parts of it, the parts that seem interesting”. Elder C. : “Have you prayed to know the Book of Mormon is true?” Jim: “I’ve included the Book of Mormon in my prayers but have not asked that specific question”. Elder C.: “As long as you are casual in your approach to the Gospel, you will not receive an answer… worlds without end, it will never happen.” (God is merciful: A person so casual in their approach to Christ, will never live the life of covenants towards exaltation. Answers, were they given to anyone lacking such sincerity and humility before the Lord, would work to their condemnation!)
We’re talking of progress on the Lord’s path of eternal upward possibilities. Personal truth / insights, come much more easily when I am ready to follow them sincerely. When I become casual with Him and his teachings, I open the door to losing it all. Many have not made covenants of eternal value or choose not to embrace such promises to Christ once made but prefer to sit on the sidelines and watch others as they live those covenants of peace and purpose… reflected from their countenances. Becoming casual in my purposes and living for the Lord, I put my eternity with him in peril for ‘no unclean thing can dwell in his presence’ (Moses 6:57) Again, worlds without end it will never happen. When I become secure in following a part of his teachings, but not all, my eternal possibilities will also become only a small part of what the Lord really has in mind for me! (the correct and therefore most ‘proactive’ found exclusively in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). A simple question in confirmation of this thought train: Have you felt new insights from reading ‘zionwisdom.com? Have you felt a closeness to the Lord you didn’t know before? Is it time to ‘partake’ on a deeper level?… and reap eternal blessings?

Open your heart, 2. ask the Lord to forgive you for anything that stands between you and Him for as long as it takes to, 3. go to a page on this blog site ‘An Experiment with the Book of Mormon’ (https://zionwisdom.com/?page_id=102), 4. scroll down the page until you see multiple scripture references, 5. then RANDOMLY click on and read any references… keeping your heart vulnerable to instruction from the Lord. 6. Look over the rest of that page link and, as you feel inclined, order your own personal copy of the Book of Mormon by clicking ‘Chat on line’… it may well be the best, ‘most delicious’ thing you do for your life and the lives of those you love!
Eternity is a long time to throw away on the philosophies of men or the ‘worldly comfortable gospel’ (even in the ranks of those professing to know Christ!) found in today’s ever increasing permissiveness and the waves of ever changing (lack of) substance in daily living! Real truth from the source of all truth, God himself through ancient and modern prophets is the only source of peace and purpose to last, not for the moment of this life, but for all eternity beyond. kdm
