“The fear (reverence) of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7.

I have long ago lost count of the number of times where I ‘acted the fool’, when the Lord has tried to get through to me with ‘wisdom and instruction’ and I could not or would not feel that instruction.  At times the consequences were devastating to self and/or others and resulted in feelings of isolation from those hurt and from Him.  That isolation and resulting circumstances was not His choice.  He was still there to pick up the pieces when I paid a price of repentance and change.  Life isn’t over.  I will, no doubt, have such ‘lapses’ in the future.  They have become fewer and farther between… but still happen. kdm
