“I have lived, seen God’s hand through a lifetime, and all was for the best.”~Robert Browning

My wife and I talked a few days ago about where we are and how we came to be here, a subject that then expanded to our children and grand-children. We both came into the Church in our teens and our increasing commitment to Jesus Christ over the years has made all the difference. Our commitment in marriage has Christ as our leader… Picture a triangle with Him at the top. While ‘fixing our spiritual eye’ upon Him in gratitude and for upward change, we ascend and come closer to each other spiritually in that ascent towards Him… in time becoming one with His purposes for us in a holy way that only He can sanctify,

I don’t need to go through a ‘laundry list’ of happenings / miss-happenings over the (40+) years except to say we changed and adjusted. Since He’s a solid partner, we try to work things in a way He would approve. This means (most times) I need to look at myself carefully… since I need more adjusting than Becky. I am so grateful for her influence and patience. My adjustments of the last five years have caused me to be less a ‘stick in the mud’, more prone to consider her needs and suggestions… ahead my own. Reciprocation (return of that approach) happens more readily.

Our typical greeting (now a fixture of 15+ years) when we rejoin later in the day starts with her asking how my day was to which I respond, “better now!”. Since I always mean it, we have fun with it and it’s variations.  kdm

This (and more to come) in response to a suggestion of our daughter, Klea, who wanted to be able to save it for her family records.
