Our Heavenly Father and his Son are beings of deep commitment. If we want to join them and be ‘comfortable in their presence’ forever, we must also become beings of deep commitment… to them. Think of Christ, in agony–His atoning sacrifice for us and his Father close by who watched and supported Him. That is an example of total commitment! Our gratitude, the price asked of us in return (also filled with profound potential and blessings to us) is simply to follow their guidance and teachings, live and do as they would, immersed in blessing our fellow travelers and so become our brothers’ keeper.
