Last evening many had the sweet experience of becoming part of a miracle.  Choir, orchestra and those listening/participating from the audience (a sing along format) were treated to ‘delicious’, soul stirring music.  We were led by our own daughter-in-law, Mary Meyers Marble, whose background includes two years+ as a member of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir (she gave birth in September limiting her availability in preparations for last night).

Most of last night’s choir including myself were too unskilled to handle – ‘Handel’s Messiah’ in so short a time. With only four real practices (a fifth’s music proved too difficult for our little group to prepare in time), I was leaning on the faith of Mary, who has felt in the past, taught in preparation for last night, that angels from above lend voice/sweet assistance to such sacred music.  And so it was… many in the choir felt power from beyond the veil multiplying their efforts. Soloists preformed their parts with sacred assistance.

Those in the audience were astounded, some saying they looked for microphones among the choir (only one at the pulpit for soloists) for surly so small a group could not produce the sound (and quality) they heard.  To be clear, mortals alone could not do what many witnessed.

I feel the Lord ‘engineered’ circumstances preceding and including last night, to prove to us that He controls sacred events, especially when they involve the ‘honest in heart’ preforming and listening.  Said another way relating to life as a whole, when we exercise faith in Him and do what we can, even though we may doubt our self and ability, He can more than make up the difference.
