“The greatest and noblest pleasure which men have in this world is to discover new truths, and the next is to shake off old prejudices.” ~Frederick the Great
Those who are true disciples of Jesus Christ and embrace his plan, find each day ‘sweet’ because they are growing in His truth and shaking off prejudices under increasing influence of the Spirit. Their minds are elevated to think and act as Christ would.
Not an easy path, mortality is filled with temptations and distractions. Quite simply, we fix our ‘spiritual eye’ upon He who bought our soul with his blood, and paid an infinite price for each and all of us. He knows and lived infinite difficulty, challenge, prejudice, pain, and so has solutions to difficult roads we travel. A true disciple accepts His timing which may not see relief until after this life. (Remember Paul, of the New Testament, who had prayed that a thorn of the flesh would be removed, that wasn’t… see 2 Corinthians 12:7-10). All Christ asks of us is to follow Him in surrender and accept His timing. When we do so, He makes us far better/greater than we could ever be without Him. kdm
