This is an every moment opportunity. Included in morning prayer, Christ will then lead me from one level of obedience to the next (the millions of small obediences above) in an order I can assimilate. There is stable growth in doing it His way. Essentially He will say with each step, “It’s time to change this for me.”
Life gives me a multitude of distractions = ‘lotsa’ of weaknesses to overcome that often leave me discouraged (rather than empowered by Christ). Yet when I choose one discipline at a time and own it so that it becomes a part of me, I’m on my way to becoming what He and I really want. kdm
