For many this is something to be sincerely, earnestly and faithfully prayed for. I once heard ‘the most powerful of all prayers that ascend to Heavenly Father are from mothers (or fathers) on behalf of wayward children’. The key is to never give up and surly the more true we are to our own convictions of what God expects from us, the deeper and stronger our faith becomes for that which we pray. The Lord is more able to teach us what to pray for perhaps facilitating an atmosphere that leads to change. The change may not necessarily form immediate miracles (though that is possible), but to facilitate an atmosphere where the Spirit can guide us in what to do… in how to relate when those we love fail to respond (according to our anxious time frame) or ‘push our buttons’ whether they intend to or not. We remember too that all challenges of life can facilitate personal growth towards Heavenly Father (or not) according to how we respond to those challenges. kdm
