‘The Lord does not ask about our ability or inability
But only about our availability,
And if we prove our dependability,
The Lord will take care of our capability.’ ~Elder Neal A. Maxwell
How many times have I dismissed an opportunity to do something the Lord would want of me because I questioned my ability or availability? In praying for a specific purpose or need, the answer often comes through those around me – sometimes strangers (in my doing for others or they for me). I miss opportunities to be better for (and closer to) Jesus Christ when I dismiss His suggestions to be there for others. When that neglect becomes habit, my long term ability and growth towards Him is greatly diminished… (“Thee lift me, and I’ll lift thee, and we’ll ascend together” – Bishop Robert D. Hales, Oct 1988) kdm

I love that quote! It has been a favorite of mine after having seen it on your wall for all those years 🙂
Court,
You bring back memories. It’s been years since I had my home office walls covered with quotes. Kind of miss it. Sometimes visitors would go in there and spend a long time reading the walls.
