I’ve been asked to speak in Church this Sunday.  My comments and assigned topic, will be based upon a talk from April’s Conference by Elder Neal L. Anderson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles titled ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ regarding Christ’s Second Coming.

Elder Anderson said, “The thought of His coming stirs my soul. It will be breathtaking! The scope and grandeur, the vastness and magnificence, will exceed anything mortal eyes have ever seen or experienced.”

He went on to say, “As we were singing (the hymn that preceded his talk, not chosen by him), I was deeply moved with the thought that at this very moment hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of believing Saints in more than 150 countries, amazingly in 75 different languages, together we were raising our voices to God, singing: Come, O thou King of Kings! We’ve waited long for thee, With healing in thy wings, To set thy people free… We are a very large worldwide family of believers, disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.” (to see/hear the complete talk, click  “Thy Kingdom Come”)

Make no mistake about it… there is no doubt the faithful will be tested and some heavily so… before His second coming, before the faithful are taken joyfully up to be with Him, when the wicked will be left to their own devices, never again to harm Christ’s followers.  As with Paul the Apostle in Christ’s day, I hope to develop an approach NOW, deeper in faith, wherein I can endure all things, creating in me a discipline, a love, a daily walk with Christ so He can refine me to his purposes. His path is not easy, but it is worth every sacrifice. kdm
