Again, words from a Bishop this past Sunday during their ward conference: “If you go out of your way, out of your comfort zone and take time from your day to lift, to serve, to help another, the Lord will bless you in your own difficulties.  You will be rewarded with solutions to your own concerns and problems.”

I recall visiting someone who years before was mentally ill and undergoing treatment. I was curious to know if, given that they were now leading a normal life, did they still have the feelings and tendencies of that troubled time? The response, “yes sometimes, but when my mind starts to go that direction, I immediately look for someone who has a need where I can assist and then go serve that person / take care of their need. I forget myself (and therefore my problems) in service to another.”
