‘He does not believe that does not live according to his belief.’~Thomas Fuller

The quickest way to leave belief in the past is to deliberately do things against / offensive to that belief. Yes we make little mistakes daily that don’t fit with who we are or want to be.  When we change and resolve to do better (repent quickly after), the offense just as quickly disappears into the past. In contrast, should we deliberately plan to do wrong, that is much more difficult. We open a door to a multitude of negative possibilities that lead downward, increasingly offensive to ourselves and God. Thus staying on the strait and narrow path by living according to our beliefs under God, frees us of the negative ‘spiritual clutter’ of not doing so. (see John 8:31-32) kdm
