A close friend, whom I hadn’t seen for a while, appeared yesterday shaken by a recent event. A new friend he had connected with on a spiritual level past away suddenly. Such an experience leaves us overwhelmed with how very fragile life is, and how out of control we are. We can’t possibly know God’s purposes. We can only sustain them, thus allowing the good examples of those now past to become a ready influence on our daily living and doing. kdm
