It means any weakness… When we put limits upon God’s power to change us we’re forgetting, or not understanding, Christ’s atoning sacrifice. He may not heal us nor our situation immediately, though he can and sometimes does. Our paying a price of much prayer and honoring Him by keeping his commandments, ensures we’re becoming what He wants of us. Sometimes we pray and the heavens seem closed. We remember that Christ upon the cross was left to suffer alone (see Mark 15:34) though, no doubt His Father was very close. Such (lack of) response becomes His school to our greater patience and discipline. When we submit humbly, cheerfully to His unknown purposes and timeframe we really do declare ourselves His. kdm
