In true repentance we realize that we are mortal and filled with habits/tendencies of our fallen natures. We cannot, on our own, ‘work our way’ to Heaven. Jesus Christ who paid the infinite price for return to our heavenly home, also is the key to the door of constant, sweet change here.
His invitation is always open but our resolve weakens with ‘travelling in (any) dangerous path’… and ‘between starts and stops, but never turn(ing) back’. Embracing His atonement, a gift given on conditions of our accepting Him, repenting and living his true teachings, we can return to Him and our Heavenly Parents. On our own we are simply too weak, yet we must make habit a refusal to visit dangerous paths. He can give strength to overcome all things when we do so and our heart is right; we then love to do His will… anything we love to do is not work. kdm
