“The way to be nothing is to do nothing.”  ~Nathaniel Howe

The Lord expects us to be useful in our sojourn here. Downtime, R&R, vacation, doing our own thing, socializing, and hobbies as important as they are, should not become the ‘sum total’ of life to the defeat of our real, God given purpose. When we involve ourselves to the blessing of our ‘fellow travelers’, we grow in God’s reason for our existance.  We become what He wanted of (and for) us.

When we create nothing of ourselves…we ARE damned  (our progression has ended).  D&C 58:27  ‘Men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;’  (continued in this link…  anxiously engaged )

Happy is the person who loses theirself in service to others (spouse and children becoming a priority).  kdm
