“… if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness.  I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them”  Book of Mormon, Ether 12:27  P 510.

When we surrender to weaknesses, we are surrendering to bondage… may as well jail our spirit and our ultimate potential.   Some can overcome weakness through sheer will power and self discipline.  Is that enough?  Is that the long term approach?  When we include Christ in the equation, He can change the ‘natural man’ tendencies in us to a discipline we never thought we were capable of.  He’s the key! Alone, in times of stress, discouragement, or when just plain ‘tired of it all’… when our defenses are down and ‘no one is around to see’, He as a permanent, sweet part of our nature, will sustain our resolve and even carry us over the rough spots. Become vulnerable. Call upon Him often.  He will be there for you.  And even when it seems like He isn’t, do it anyway.  Your persistent, open spirit over time, will cause Him to change things in you and for you.  kdm
