6 Therefore go, my son, and thou shalt be favored of the Lord, because thou hast not murmured.
7 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.
The above shows the purpose of scripture and anything that comes to us from the Lord. It shows us the approach we must have in order that personal revelation will continue… and we will increase in revelation from above. There’s no room for complaining (murmuring), when our spirit is so schooled and disciplined. Often, we may not like what the Spirit says. A resistant approach immediately ends the influence of the Spirit. We certainly should seek counsel on how to do what is asked, and when we are persistant and our vulnerable approach continues, answers WILL come. kdm
