“The tragedy of life is what dies inside a (person) while (they) live.”  ~ Albert Schweitzer

How does the ‘dying’ happen? Often gradually, when we place greater emphasis on things / perceived, personal ‘needs’ of no eternal value or consequence.  Our relationships, especially family,  are the things we take with us into the next life. Neglect here, means absence there. It doesn’t need to be so. The greatest relationship my mother gave me was a yearning to be close to the Lord, through simply having me memorize the 23rd Psalm when I was age 10.  Thus two relationships became stronger, with the Lord and with her.  And…  remedial solutions to all future (spiritual!) bumps, bruises, problems became available.  The tragedy of what dies within CAN be changed to good… to last forever into the next life!  Question is–how willing are we, in little daily things or in the surprise of bigger tragedy, to lean upon Him to make it so?  kdm
