Wayne E. Brickey taught:
To have the sweet aroma of peace—the taste of eternal life—in our homes takes some doing. We might call it “spiritual hygiene.”
. . . Like the physical body, the spirit has to be in good health to face the rigors and threats around it. Stamina depends on regular hygiene. The gospel prescribes nutrients, labors, and even regular rest. We can think of these hygienic things by reviewing the counsel we have received and the covenants we have made.
The most crucial hygiene is daily prayer. To hold in place all else we do, we must stay connected to the great Father. He sent us on our family mission, and it is to Him that we hope to return with everyone intact . . . prayer sets the stage for other essentials of spiritual health. ~Wayne E. Brickey
