I was in a men’s meeting recently at church and because it happened to be an impromptu discussion and ‘going that way’, I felt to share something that has been a sweet part of our marriage for decades: Coming home, My wife wants to know how my day went and will ask a question targeted at that thought, not really ‘fishing’ for a particular answer. . .
Often my response with feeling is “better now!” It typically brings a chuckle and a meaningful hug. . .
