Satisfaction comes from service to others rendered well. It is a love made visible. Conscientiously you may ask yourself:”When is it proper that I render a needed service, and when is it preferable to refer that individual to another?” As a surgeon, I was faced with this question on a daily basis. I accepted the responsibility for patient care only when I knew that I could render service as well as or better than anyone else available.
