Russell M. Nelson said: “Love the Lord with a firm foundation of faith. Let it be the base upon which you stand and from which you climb. That love will provide power for you to love your neighbors and to help them. It will assuage any baser emotion of envy and attenuate immature passions for greed or power, control or unrighteous dominion.
Enlightened with love of the Lord, no longer will you be inclined to command with “directive” leadership. Your style will change to one of concerned “participative” leadership when you apply the Golden Rule.
But without a conviction that the Lord lives and loves us, and will judge us, there would be politics without principle, industry without morality, science without humanity, and knowledge without wisdom.
