I am blessed to have created posts for the last year under the direction of the Spirit and according to the will of my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, and my Heavenly Father. A very sweet experience! From feedback, there are many who have been edified and have drawn closer to correct teachings and principles, and our Savior himself. I want no credit for the how the posts on ‘zionwisdom.com’ may facilitate a closer relationship between you and your Heavenly Father.

I have had no opposition until Wednesday’s post [i] and, inasmuch as that person shared freely with others his perceptions against it, there is a need to ‘clear the air’ for those hearing / feeling that negative energy. In admission, my mistake may have been, to wait until I saw him later that day to respond to his comment personally. That encounter was immediately confrontational and my approach of ‘lets agree to disagree’ was rejected when he tired to escalate his convictions against mine.

I learned long ago as I participated in such conversations that the Spirit leaves. In controversy, Christ’s approach as the Son of God coming from sure knowledge that accompanied His holy title and from absolute authority, spoke in distinct clarity to the Pharisees, Sadducees, and others (with the intent to have them understand their hypocrisy). I am very obviously, very mortal and when I have encountered or been a part of such conversations, they quickly become territory the adversary revels in. I now feel that God is disappointed when we verbally joust over religious differences.

A big contrast comes when we share beliefs with one another in a forum of love and appreciation for our Creator and in a way that mutually edifies and improves our relationship Him and others. (I speak as one with a sibling who follows the Buddhist faith. We’ve had interesting conversations in which truths are shared in friendly uplifting ways). Such sharing brings strength to people of faith, any faith in good principles, when the rest of the world is adamant to follow a formula that would bring the influence of the faithful to no consequence. Christ has infinite patience and understanding for all of us having human weaknesses. Patience is an interesting word because it automatically implies upward change over time; that Jesus Christ knows our potential following Him and that we can do infinitely better under His guidance, encouragement and our steady, though at times faltering commitment. Where we fall short is believing the adversary’s lie, that we are so bad, so inconsistent, that Christ would not want us. That thought keeps some, self-justifying and weak hearted, from praying and seeking His guidance. He heals even the weak hearted, when they make themselves vulnerable to His healing… it means total surrender.

Those who love and serve Jesus, and are committed to him, realize that their upward change towards him, imperceptible as it is day to day; is noticeable over months and years. As long as we are mortal, we will have weaknesses as part of our fallen natures. The overcoming, the upward change, happens as we trust in the Lord and give over our will to HIs. That very act of our heart felt trust and prayer, and our striving to overcome brings His greater energy, and our increasing commitment to ‘the table’ to have it happen completely one day. And… it will all happen because of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, who paid for all our sins and infinitely for the sins of all who have lived or will yet live.

I am so grateful that Jesus Christ is my Redeemer and Savior and know He is the only true way to return to our Heavenly Father, and say this in His holy name, the name of Jesus Christ, Amen               kdm
