“As you keep the commandments and pray in faith to see the Lord’s hand in your life, I promise you that He will open your spiritual eyes even wider, and you will see more clearly that you are not alone.The scriptures teach that we are to “[stand] steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come.” (Mosiah 4:11) What is to come? The Savior prayed:
“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”22

Dear Readers,
For the last couple of years my perspective and my relationship with the Lord has greatly changed. Those things I had puzzled about all my life, have come into new clarity and resolve that I never thought I would see in this life. It is because of the books I have been reading (thank you Mary!). In addition to the scriptures and prayer, powerful insights have come through reading the writings of John Pontius (and other related books). The most recent one was compiled by his wife from his blog postings over a two year period preceding his passing (in 2012) and is called ‘Journey to the Veil’. It answers a multitude of questions about life and how to live it for the Lord. Understand that much of this is the ‘meat of the gospel’ and would be too strong for those never having tasted the milk, or at least it would be hard for them to understand. As he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons), those who are not members may struggle with concepts. As said on the home page of this blog, we accept all truth from whatever source it comes. I know his writings to be from God, coming at a critical time as tribulations increase before the Second Coming of Christ. kdm
