Continuing from So Much More IV, Letha says:
When I sit back and think about it, I can see why I was called to my mission, at the time I was. I remember my best friend being furious that I missed her wedding, and she asked what difference would two weeks make? I can say with full honesty: it would have made all the difference. I see specifically the people that I could connect with that other missionaries could not. I see how I was needed in that place at that time. I see how my companions were specifically needed in our areas, and how they were able to connect with people that I could not, I can See.
I can see how the mistreatment I experienced at the hands of others has trained my mind to react certain ways – inappropriate or not, but at the same time have caused a lifelong pursuit of learning coping mechanisms, behavior modifications, psychology, and other studies that make me uniquely able to address several concerns I see in my friends, clients, and patients. If nothing else, I See how I am a better support for these people.
Do you See how your experiences have uniquely shaped you to fill the space you’re in — so that you can work and so that you can teach?
Because I can See the organization of my life, and I can See who I really am, I have gained the ability to See others as they really are. I See you, Child of God. I See you, with my spiritual eyes, as you radiate with the Glory of the Atonement of Christ, dressed in Robes of Righteousness. And because I See you, I Love you. Or is it because I Love you that I can See you? At any rate, because I love and I see, I am inspired to help you become Who You Are. And so I work, and so I teach.
So let me close now, by bringing it back to the earlier scripture: God is Love. Because He loves us, he works; Because He loves us, He teaches. Because He loves us, He Sees. And if we are to become even like Him, and like Christ, we are to work, teach, and see.
I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
